I would like to thank all of you that have given my babies a happy, loving home.  It means a lot to me that they are well taken care of and have been placed in just the right home!

Just wanted to let you know how pleased we have been with our new family addition.  As you know, we were very unsure about getting a male dog.  We could not have been more wrong.  Joe’s pleasant disposition has been wonderful and he is terrific with children.

I’ve forwarded a copy of Joe’s graduation picture from obedience classes.  He learned so quickly and was the star of the show in class.

Everytime we go out with him somewhere we are constantly stopped by people who are just blown away by his demeanor, stance and beautiful coat.  It doesn’t take people but one quick look to know he has champion blood lines.  It’s sometimes difficult to get through the pet store because everyone wants to see him.

Thanks again for our wonderful baby.

I have been trying to write to you, I promise.  I sent the message I started at work to my personal email hoping I would finish it at home that evening..... finish the email or walk the boy and play with him... mmmm...  he keeps winning.  Work has been insane busyworking on 2008 budget and financials and then..... because all of my spare time is spent with the baby.  And when I get home all of my spare time is spent... with the baby.  So sorry for the delay... but everything is going great!  We love each other!!!

I know I acted so strangely when I met you... I couldn't wait to meet YOU believe it or not... and I took one look at the dog and I was speechless.  I am never speechless!  His eyes just sucked me right in and that was it....  I just love that baby boy.  I didn't even want to hold him... I just wanted to look at him....  I did not expect him to be so beautiful.  So, I apologize for acting so strangely.  Now my world is wrapped around his little paws... our walk around the block turns into a walk around the town because he just loves watching the leaves blowing around.  TV?  What's that?  We just play and throw toys and teach him (someday he will get it) to bring the ball back.

He copies everything Tula does... Oh NO!  Tula is a chihuahua don't copy her!!!!  Tula I rescued and fostered since shewas found at 3 months old choking to death hanging from her collar and leash over the balcony at the complex I worked at. She was addicted to crack and was skin and bones.. she is much better than she was but she is still so afraid of the world.  Terrified.  She does great in her enviornment... and she does great with him.  I knew she would.  She needed to meet him in her car and in her house.  They are now sharing toys and sharing the bed and blankets.  I was thinking about poor little Radd missing Baxter as I watched Memphis following Tula's every step from day one... he just transferred his sense of family to her and didn't miss a beat.  When she has had enough she gives him that mother look and growls.... he doesn't care one bit.... so she will go find a spot that only she can fit into and hide. I would love to find a home for Tula but it would have to be the right enviornment since she has her abuse issues. I will take care of her for the rest of her life if need be... I am happy now because I finially have my dog too.  Tula is great but I am not a chihuahua person, so she doesn't satisfy my personal dog needs... I am so happy to have them both and they get along famously.  I am glad his ears were too low and all the other reasons someone else didn't take him!

He is such a good boy too.  Oh he's a pup and can steal shoes like the best of them.... but that is to be expected.  When it's lights out, that's it, and he settles right down for the night and he will stay quiet until I wake up in the morning.  I really like that on Saturday and Sunday mornings!  He walks wonderfully on his leash and sits like a grown up in the car.  Thank you so much for all the effort you put into him... he is such a great puppy.

He is telling me it's potty time.. gotta run!

Hey there

I just wanted to give you an update on your little Miss Lucy. She is doing wonderful! She is the MOST gorgeous Cocker Spaniel I have ever seen! She has a fabulous coat, however, it grows so fast! I brush her everyday and bathe her Mon Wed and Fri. She loves baths. She will hop in the bathtub when she wants a bath. She is so smart! Also, she has a brother! His name is Dallas, he is a 13 wk old Golden Retriever. They both are so spoiled. They have their own BEDROOM. It is our bonus room right next to ours. They both have their own beds, lots and lot of toys. I have a routine of taking them for a walk in the morning and night and we have a nice shady fenced in backyard they like to play in. They are more of house dogs though. I have been working on tricks with Lucy and she knows "sit", "stay", "come",  "roll over", etc. She even taught Dallas. I have attached some pics of the two of them. You won't believe how much she has grown!

Your puppies are gorgeous! Silver Surfer is beautiful.

Take Care

Hi Karen,

Just wanted you to know we are having a great time on our trip.  Everyone who sees Reno falls in love with him.  He is quite a character.  We are crazy about him.

Hey Karen.  She's so sweet.  We named her Sadie.  Although, "Prissy" describes her perfectly.  She loves the attention and already has a favorite toy that is being terrorized by her.  I'll send you a picture soon.  Thanks again.

Hello Karen,
Sorry, I've been off for a week an this is my first day back. Homer is doing great, he is actually being neutered today, just heard from the vet and all is well, no complications thank god!!!
He is the hit of Victory park (the area we have our store), people come in just to visit with him. He is such a love, a bit of a rascal but he is a puppy after all. The woman that called actually tried to buy Homer from me and said if i ever change my mind to please call her, of coarse he's my boy and that will never happen.
I will email a recent photo of him as soon as possible.

I hope all is well, John

Hi Karen,

Just thought I would let you know how everything is going. Ladybug is adjusting very well she is lovable and sweet as can be. Everyone loves her very much. When does her hair need to be groomed and how much will it cost?

How are the other puppies doing? I hope that everyone in your family is doing well.

Talk to you soon,
Charlena

Karen,I had wondered how you were able to tell the babies apart. They are
beautiful. I think as they get a little older they will take on unique
qualities and personalities. I was talking to a friend that said she had a
black cocker spaniel as a child. She had "that look" in her eyes when she
said it, so I am keeping her posted everytime you add pictures. ;-)

As for Thomas, I regret terribly not bringing him home with me too. Sara is
such a doll baby that I hate to leave her home alone even for a minute.
They would have been great companions and Jeff and I have so much love to
give our babies. There is one thing Jeff and I disagree on where Sara is
concerned....clothing....I have attached two pictures from the family
reunion near Atlanta, Georgia Sunday....as you can see from the pictures it
is hard to tell who is babysitting who (my niece Maddie and Sara who both
happen to be wearing pink shirts....).

Good to hear from you!

Steph Adams

Hello!

My little Sara Jane won the Cutest Dog Contest at the Relay for Life
(benefits American Cancer Society). We campaigned four hours for votes.
Votes were actually monetary contributions so the pup that raised the most
money won first place. There were 7 contestants. Sara was lucky number 7.
Everybody just loved Sara! Each pup had a bag with their number on it and
their picture up on a board above the bags. People cast their vote by
putting money in the appropriate bag. Attached is the picture that was on
the board which was actually taken at the Relay for Life. I ran home (3
minutes away), printed it out and ran it back to the contest booth. Sara
then strutted her stuff around the track and booth by booth obtaining her
votes for four long hours. She was such a ham. I kept her on a leash and
kept a firm grip because there were several people who acted like they would
be happy to walk off with her. ;-) I have also attached the picture of her
snoozing in a blanket on Momma Jane's lap right about the time they made the
announcement that she had won first place which was just a little after 10
pm. Well past her bedtime.

Enjoy the pictures!

Karen,

Thanks again for letting us come on short notice.  I still think the adjustment for Sara would have been easier if we adopted her brother too.  He was a cutie too.  She has found a new friend in one of our 4 cats.  The baby (1 year old) that looks like a small lion wants to play with her about as much as she wants to play with him.  She starts all interaction with him and her tail is just a wagging.  She is tooooo cute.  We are really glad we made the trip for her.

The next email and picture will explain the sleeping arrangements we ended up with last night after nothing we tried would get Sara to stop crying (missing her littermates).  I have a feeling this will be the sleeping arrangement for awhile even though her crate sits right by the bed.

Thanks again,

Stephanie Adams

P.S.  If Desi and Lucy are having babies at the end of April, they will not be related to Sara, correct?  If not related, we might consider a boy from their litter.

Molly is a real sweetie.   She is doing very well.
We took her to the Vet and got her records set up.
Our Vet has a cocker spaniel so she knows all lot about them.
We were getting up with Molly about 2:30 AM each morning to go out for about a week.
The past two nights she has slept all night so she is already getting a good routine.
She has a big room to play during the day and her crate to sleep when she needs to.
Casey is getting better with her, just doesn't like for her to bite on her.
She is really like a big baby now.
Charlie came and stayed a few days, and he loves her.
They were both tired every night.
We have a new granddaughter, born on Tuesday, so we have had a busy week.
I'll send you a picture of Molly when I get them downloaded.

Hi Karen,

Sorry I did not write you yesterday, I know you were so worried about the babies,

we just got home an hour ago from our trip to the airport, and we had trouble with

my husband’s truck. We ended up having to stay in a hotel, but we are home and safe.

Little Annie is a bouncing bubble of JOY! You did a very good job, she was fantastic

in the hotel. Slept between my husband and me, she got us up at 6 am to potty and then

wanted to play and bite our noses, lol first me and then him. She has got to be the

happiest baby I have ever seen, she does not seam to be bothered about any thing. On

the trip home she was such a little angle she played between us with her toys and me,

Good appetite, when she had to potty she let us know. We got home and she ran around

the house just bouncing, it’s as if she already knew as soon as I got her out of the

crate at the airport. She was and is so full of kisses. The babies were so clean when

they came out of the crate.  I will say good night, did not get any sleep last night,

the bed was horrible and pillow. I will write tomorrow. Thank you Karen,

No need to worry, OH! If you have yahoo or Msn messenger I have a cam any time you

want you can see her.
