A FAMILY PRODUCTION!!

KEEBLER

Hi,
Just wanted to give you an update on Keebler - formerly Saban.  Don't worry he is being raised a good "Bama" dog, but I thought there might be too much pressure being named after a coach. Of course, if I had know we were going to win an national championship....Smile emoticon.

Last spring, I took him to several Alabama softball games where he was a big hit with the kids. He also spend several football Saturdays in Tuscaloosa. He did have to wait patiently at a friend's house while we went to the game. But he was able to participate in tailgating afterwards.  He's been a great companion. I was laid off for 4 months last year, but you can't feel too sorry for yourself with a energetic puppy around.   Everyone comments on how cute he is and what a great personality he has. He loves everyone and especially loves to play with other dogs.  He goes to Manners In Motion day care twice a week to work out some energy. The rest of the week, he has a dog walker come by.  He is crazy for chasing tennis balls and loves to swim.  And he is actually a good little watchdog. He will let you know if anyone is around "his" house.

I enjoy going to your website and seeing the new puppies.  Someday, I would like to get Keebler a playmate.  I see Bella is looking for a forever home.  She is such a pretty dog.  How old is she and does she like playing with other dogs?  I don't know that I'm quite ready yet to add to the family.  But since she is Keebler's mom, I thought I would ask.

Sincerely,

MOPSY

Hello Karen,

Just wanted to send you a recent picture of Mopsy. She loved the snow (for about 10 minutes!). She has the sweetest personality and is the most loving dog I have ever encountered! She is so affectionate and playful. Her markings are so gorgeous also. The bottoms of her paws and her face have the light brown color so it looks like she has been playing in the sand!

Hope you are doing well.

McGee

Hi Karen

Here is McGee at 4 months old posing with his AKC "Star Puppy" award for good behavior. We are going to train him for Obediance and Agility so we're happy that he is making good progress. Everyone tells us he has a great disposition and he is friendly with everyone, other pets and children too. He has joined Diamond, our Golden/Lab mix at several "Read to Rover" programs where Therapy dogs interact with children at local libraries. He loves the kiddies!

We thank you again for getting McGee off to such a good start, and we wish you and your family a Happy Holiday season.

P.S Congrats to you Bama fans - its pretty glum down here in Gator country but it was fun while it lasted. We'll be pulling for Bama and the SEC vs Texas at the championship game!

Update on McGee

Hi Karen,

Just wanted to give you an update on little McGee. We are having so much fun with him. He is a big attraction wherever we go. He is so friendly to everyone he meets. Everybody  loves his name.

McGee is so smart he has already passed the AKC STAR Puppy Test. The trainer we are working with also gave McGee the CGC test and he passed it also.  He is so easy to train. He rarely has an accident in the house . We bought the bells that hang on the door knob and he hits  them to let us know he has to go out potty. We took him to a new "Read to Rover Program" and the local library and he was read a story by a little girl. It was so cute. We are going to do this every month. When he is a year old he will be able to officially be a therapy dog.

He  loves to fetch just about any toy you ask him to. We are also teaching him how to spin to the left and spin to the right. . He will do anything for treats. The next big milestone will be to "stay" for a period of time. We are working on that. Right now he last to the count of 10.

Hope everything is going well with your family. We are really enjoying Lucy's  and Desi's  little boy.

Hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Take care,
Vicki

MAYA

Just wanted to give you an update on Maya. She is doing great. She is just a little fireball! She loves her mommy's lap, but when it's play time she doesn't take no for an answer. Her favorite is Tug of War and she usually wins!  I think that may have something to do with having been born with all those brothers. I'm sending a couple pictures from our most recent trip to the park. -Courtenay Hardy

McGee

Hi Karen

McGee had a safe and quiet ride home to Florida with us last night. He slept on Vicki's lap the entire 8-hour drive except for a few stops for us all to eat and potty. We arrived home at 11:30 our time and met Diamond, his new gentle giant big sister:). She was very happy to see him and McGee was not at all intimidated by her XXL size. This was great news and shows his good temperament and how well he is socialized. After a short time they began to steal each other's toys..she likes his little stinky toy and he likes her big soft floppy ones. How funny!

He slept through most of the night except for a short whimper when he first went to bed. His crate is in our bedroom with us and Diamond.

Here are some pictures of McGee on his first day with our family. Thanks again for everything and we will keep you updated with photos of his adventures as he grows!

KATIE

Congratulations on a gorgeous group of Lucy/Desi babies.  Katie is doing wonderfully.  We finished a basic obedience course at the end of June and she was the teacher's pet.  She is full of mischief and love.  Doing great.  Our groomer has been in the business for 20+ years.  She tells us every time we take Katie to be groomed that she has seen hundreds, maybe even thousands of cockers over the years and Katie is the most beautiful and good natured cocker she has ever encountered.

So there you have our report, coming up on Katie's first birthday on August 12th.

Take care,

Lynn Bailey and Katie

ANNABELLE

Hey Karen,
We went to the vet for her 3rd set of shots yesterday, and she weighs 8 pounds and 2 oz, I couldn't believe it! She is growing so fast! Potty training is doing great also, she goes to the door and takes her paws and hits the blinds at the door so we will hear her, very smart, we have a few accidents, but we are well on our way!! She sucks a binky, and you can say bink bink and she crys for it, it is so funny, I wish you could see it. You did a great job  working with her and taking care of her. We are so very blessed we found you and Annabelle, she is such a little blessing to our family. We do not know how we did without her. She took to me of course, LOL Chris didnt like that to well but he tries to lure her to him with treats, LOL It's funny bc she sometimes won't leave my side, and if I go out of the room she will howl and cry unitl I come back in. She is so so sweet. So far she has learned sit, stay, & kisses, still working on the lay over part but we will get it down! We are putting her in kindergarten @ Pet Smart next month, after she has had all of her puppy shots we want to make sure she will not get anything from any others dogs there. I will let you know how that goes as well! I check your site alot and it is amazing how little she use to be!!! Well I just wanted to let you know ab Annabelle, she is doing great! She goes everywhere with me and I mean everywhere! I have also sent people your way I gave them your number, not sure if you have got any calls yet, but every time we go somewhere somebody always asks where I got her and wants one just like her so maybe you will be getting business from Dothan! Well I hope you and the family are doing great and call me sometime I would love to chat with you and tell you all ab Annabelle.

Keily Zenxole

Hi Karen,

 Keily  is  unbelieveable!
She's snoozing at my feet as I type. You were right, she is VERY SMART, and we
have kept up our part in holding, loving and embracing her.....

The first night, I had her in her zip-up crate....she figured out how to un-zip it and got out three
times, so I turned the zipper to the wall, and she went to sleep.

The second night, I had that zipper to the wall, but she figured it out, and....oops, puppy breakout!

The third day, I had to go purchase a conventonal crate for her....she is ok now....she may bark one time,
then she goes off to sleep.....

I took her to the vet to get her meds, and she is now signed up on the puppy wellness plan and has
started all of her treatments, etc.  They said her health was excellent, so I thank you for that.

She has adjusted VERY well, and naps with me or watches tv with me, or goes out to the garden to see
the birdies, chipmunks and squirrels!  She loves it here, and we love her too!

MOLLY

Karen,

I hope everything is going good.  Molly has been a wonderful addition to my life.  I wanted to get you a few pictures of her, I am sure you would like to see how she is doing.  There are a couple of her playing with the Golden at my work.  She has a lot of fun.  Loves to sleep with her legs kicked out to the side.  Everywhere she goes everyone tells her how pretty she is and how cute her little spots and eyes are.

MAC

Karen,

Reporting in. I have conducted a contest within family and Mac is the name, short of course for McIntosh, the Scot head of Creek nation near Lake Martin. My grandmother was a McIntosh from
Dadeville, and directly related. It seemed Mac would work well, I have not registered him yet, but shall, and the name will probably come out as "Lucy and Desi's Little Ricky aka McIntosh. The last
picture is my other new relative, a granddaughter born 3 months after Mac. Mac is adored by all who see him, and he fits in wonderfully well, well behaved, doesn't mind cold weather too much. I am using Melvin Davis as a vet, Shades Valley Animal Clinic, ad he sends his regards, said you raise beautiful, healthy puppies.

Mike

VERSACE

Hello.

This is Brian and Alyssa, the couple who enthusiastically bid on your Versace last night. It was nice meeting you last night and getting to know Versace. We were sorry to see him go to someone  else. Even after meeting him for only a few minutes last night we were very drawn to him. However, you must be excited to have raised so much money for Children's Hospital.

Thanks also for giving us your number so we could contact you and  inquire about your other puppies. As you mention on your website,  email is a good way to stay in touch, especially considering how busy our weekends are! We are still intensely interested in getting a little Cocker Spaniel of our own. We live in Vestavia and have a  decent-sized yard. Our family includes a 5 year-old boy, a 20 month- old little girl and a 12 year-old cat. Both of our children are good with dogs and extremely affectionate. I'd classify the cat as towards  the "lazy" end of the activity spectrum, unlikely to cause any problems. We think one of your little ones would make a perfect addition to our family this Christmas. Could you please respond and  let us know when is best to come see the puppies? Thanks again and congratulations on raising so much for Children's!

LEXIE

Hello Karen,

It's been quite a while since we spoke and so I wanted to let you know how Lexi is doing.
She is grown up now and extremely beautiful. No matter where we go, we get compliments on her color and looks. Everyone (and I mean
everyone) that comes in contact with her tells us how adorable and well mannered she is. She is spoiled rotten (thanks to our daughter
Kiana) but oh so precious. We could not have picked a better fit for our family. Enclosed are some updated photos of Lexi.

Thank you for giving us this precious gift!

FINLEY AND SOPHIE

Just thought I would drop you a note to let you the know that Finley has fit right in with our family, she has a frisky personality and provides us a lot of entertainment and laughs.  We call her the tonka truck, she just keeps rolling through regardless of the situation.  She and Sophie have become quite the partners in crime, and they are very good friends.

Thank you for being such a responsible breeder who breeds quality dogs, who bring such joy to their owners:)

BORIS

Happy new year!  I hope you are well.  I wanted to send you some recent pictures of Boris.  He’s a happy little boy here in Houston and has grown so much!  He is 24 lbs and still growing at 9 months old.  He has quite a personality!  He is incredibly playful and full of energy.   He is a happy and social puppy that loves to interact with people and other dogs (small and large, particularly large … lol – he thinks he is the same size as the big dogs).

He’s doing great and we love him very much!

Sharon

MAYA

Just wanted to give you an update on Maya. She's doing great! She's missing all eight of her front teeth right now, and her new ones are coming in fast. We're still waiting on those sharp puppy canines to work their way out! She's slept through the night from the very start. She's progressing with potty training pretty good. She's very good about letting us know she wants outside. She is not afraid of ANYTHING! She terrorizes my mom's boxer, walks right up to mastiffs at the park, and is always exploring something. She can get onto our bed all by herself now. And she absolutely loves water. Yesterday morning she literally jumped in the shower with me. Putting her back out did no good. She was right back in as soon as I turned around. But it makes bath time easy! What she hates is the hair dryer! Ha ha. I'm sending you her Christmas picture. It was a little hard to take with all her boundless energy! -Courtenay

JOE

Karen,

Just wanted to let you know how pleased we have been with our new family addition.  As you know, we were very unsure about getting a male dog.  We could not have been more wrong.  Joe’s pleasant disposition has been wonderful and he is terrific with children.

I’ve forwarded a copy of Joe’s graduation picture from obedience classes.  He learned so quickly and was the star of the show in class.

Everytime we go out with him somewhere we are constantly stopped by people who are just blown away by his demeanor, stance and beautiful coat.  It doesn’t take people but one quick look to know he has champion blood lines.  It’s sometimes difficult to get through the pet store because everyone wants to see him.

Thanks again for our wonderful baby.

GRACIE

Hi Karen,
Hope things are going well for you and your family. We just love Gracie so very much, she is such a blessing.
Her newborn pictures did not do her justice (really I am not used to seeing such a little bundle of joy at hours old)
She is marked so beautifully and is so very smart.
Thank you!

ANNIE

                     Annie is a Bella/Dusty baby

HOMER

My man Homer!  He was adopted by John in Dallas, Texas and has become quite the celebrity.  He models for John's business ads and is seen quite often in the window of the antique store that they run.  I have several merles in Dallas due to Homer.

Hello Karen,
Sorry, I've been off for a week and this is my first day back. Homer is doing great, he is actually being neutered today, just heard from the vet and all is well, no complications thank god!!!
He is the hit of Victory park (the area we have our store), people come in just to visit with him. He is such a love, a bit of a rascal but he is a puppy after all. The woman that called actually tried to buy Homer from me and said if i ever change my mind to please call her, of coarse he's my boy and that will never happen.
I will email a recent photo of him as soon as possible.

I hope all is well, John
