KLS Cockers

A FAMILY PRODUCTION!!

First, I would like to thank you for considering one of my puppies.  It is very important to me that my puppies go to the right home.  If you have browsed my web site you will understand the time and effort that goes in to producing these lovely babies.  I have  tried to include any information that might be helpful in your making a decision.  I update my site constantly and will try and provide the pertinent information that will help you with an informed decision. I do maintain my own website and it is pretty generic in form and might not have all the bells and whistles that you might view aesthetically on some sites, but that is due to most of my time being devoted to my dogs.

You will find that my kennel is small and I only produce a few litters a year.  There is a reason for this - I do not believe that my females should be bred every heat.  I try and give them a break so that their bodies can regenerate and they can maintain the best possible health.   My dogs are not considered working dogs, they are part of our family and we spend countless hours a day socializing with them.  If you will follow some of the other websites you will see that most of their females are producing a litter every six months.  Any vet will explain to you that this is not in the best interest of the female.   My philosophy is that when I retire a female she is in the best of health and socialized in such a manner that she will make someone a wonderful life long companion.

Before investing in a potential addition to my canine family I extensively research the lines and purchase only the best for breeding purposes. If  for some reason I find a problem with the genetics of a pair I will not breed that pair again.  I am committed to be the most responsible breeder I can be.  If you have looked at my Reviews page you will see countless messages from families that have chosen a KLS cocker for their family pet.  I have many families that have chosen two and sometimes three of my babies to fill their hearts with the daily joy that only a four legged baby can provide.  I have quite a following in Texas due to Dusty offspring and usually keep a waiting list for his litters.  My females are kept upstairs during their pregnancies and whelp in my bedroom.  After puppies arrive we always have them located in a room with constant supervision so that if one needs help we are there to assist.  We watch and evaluate mom to make sure that there are no complications during and after her delivery.  A medical problem can develop so quickly during or after a birth it is has always been hard for me to understand how kennels that only check on their dogs a couple of times a day can be there for an intervention if one is necessary.  Timing is everything when you have a mom or puppy in trouble.

You will find that I do not advertise my pricing on the web.  This is due mainly out of respect for families that I am working with on a potential adoption.  .  I try and work with families that would truly like a KLS puppy and even have worked out payment plans for special situations.  Due to those special situations it is much better for us to correspond on pricing by e-mail or by a phone call.  Depending on the time of year and what I produce in a litter pricing might vary at certain times.

I would also like to say that my relationship with a family that commits to one of my puppies will continue on for years to come.  I will always be available to answer questions during the adoption process as well as after they take their puppy home.  I still receive e-mails updating me on my very first litter back in the day.  The sharing of pictures from these families always gives my heart a little lift knowing that I have provided that family with that special addition to their home.
